Overview

We are seeking a talented individual for a Senior Director of Government Programs (Federal and/or State) who is responsible for the overall P&L of key strategic Cotiviti Government Service (CGS) government contract/Agency Program(s), including managing financial, operational, project management, account management, and growth activities. This includes directly overseeing and managing operational staff responsible for contract delivery, maintaining quality assurance, and exceeding all customer requirements. Responsibilities also include monitoring workload and contract funding, ensuring all contract deliverables are completed timely and accurately, and supporting and/or leading corporate initiatives, as assigned. Position entails supervision, oversight and mentoring over project/operational staff. Responsible for project/program organizational and strategic planning, including project planning and ensuring service delivery execution with key stakeholders. Champions Cotiviti’s products and services. Typically supports Government Programs with a revenue base of $10M+ and/or Programs that are deemed “strategic” in nature. This role is critical for Cotiviti’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Directly (and in-directly) manages operational staff responsible for Government contract delivery
  • Manages multiple complex client required program tasks or initiatives, including solutioning for contract related requirements in a matrixed organization
  • Effectively plans, budgets, and manages Government contract, including P&L oversight, subcontractors, forecast accuracy, ensuring adequate operational staffing, and is responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets
  • Provides primary client interface to communicate contract performance, identify and manage risk, and drive customer satisfaction
  • Provides ongoing training and mentoring of existing and new contract/operational staff (including but not limited to contract protocols, client deliverables, client communications and meetings, contract specific subject matter)
  • Develop the strategic business objectives and direction for a specific Federal and/or State Program Department unit
  • Develop business proposals and written budget justifications for new task orders, additional funding, and contract extensions.
  • Understands client’s business and demonstrates technical competence in Cotiviti services and
  • Understands the government agency, legislative, regulatory, political, and competitive landscape, and proactively protects and grows business accordingly.
  • Builds strong relationships internally at Cotiviti and externally with clients and strategic partners at various levels to facilitate integration, drive results and foster employee engagement (as applicable).
  • Adds value by identifying client expectations and then exceeding mutually agreed-upon
  • Attend industry-related events and conferences and work to further develop strategic agenda and partnerships
  • Successfully attracts, manages, retains, and develops employees, including succession
  • Continually promotes Cotiviti by developing further contacts within the business community and healthcare industry and serving as a brand ambassador in the market.
  • Proactively shapes needs and expansion opportunities to optimize client service and delivery
  • Assists in identifying and developing relationships/partnerships that enhance Cotiviti’s ability to enter new contracts and markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree (MBA or healthcare related) preferred
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • 10+ years account management experience in a healthcare insurance environment, Medicaid and Medicare experience desired. Financial background preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in government program integrity/payment integrity
  • 5+ years’ experience directly managing staff – Required
  • 5+ years project management experience – Required
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Government Healthcare Contracting
  • Knowledge of Claims Processing, and Reimbursement Methodologies
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements
  • Working knowledge of federal and state Medicaid regulations
  • Exceptional client management and business development
  • Excel in communicating with internal stakeholders as well as external entities and customers
  • Prepare and facilitate executive level presentations – both internally and

Base compensation ranges from $154,000 to $196,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration
