As VP Product, Interoperability, you will own and execute Cotiviti’s market strategy, product roadmap and commercial growth for health plan interoperability — extending our leading industry position and expanding our impact into broader payer / provider collaboration. You will bring unique insight into payer priorities, challenges, and blind spots; prioritize market needs; run competitive analysis; engage experts within and outside our organization; and lead product launches that expand our client value proposition and advance Cotiviti’s market position. Hands-on knowledge of payer administrative processes and payer / provider interoperability is essential, along with a genuine passion for solving hard problems and improving the healthcare system.
Reporting to the SVP of Product, you will have full ownership and accountability for product vision, definition, packaging, and market success across Cotiviti’s interoperability platform and commercial solutions. You will lead a matrixed, multi-level team, prioritizing and enhancing our existing solutions while delivering next-generation payer / provider collaboration solutions. You will bridge product vision, operational design, and commercial success — defining Cotiviti’s approach across the product lines you support. You will advocate and solution to ensure that all Cotiviti’s product offerings are FHIR native and leveraging our Interoperability Platform[CC1.1].
Cotiviti is evolving our market approach to become the utility layer for healthcare—reducing friction and significantly improving coordination across the system. In this role, you will play a key role in defining and executing Cotiviti’s expanded vision and improving healthcare. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a leader who combines deep product and market domain expertise, healthcare knowledge, business acumen, creativity, sound business judgment, and sharp analytical thinking.
You will lead a cross-sectional, matrixed team, driving a customer- and sales-focused approach to building and launching new products, capabilities, and offerings into the marketplace. Here’s what you’ll own:

Provide unique insight into the internal mechanics and challenges of payer platforms, processes, and administrative inefficiency, as well as payer/provider interoperability.
Process Improvement
Drive process re-engineering efforts leveraging AI and emerging technologies to drive transformative changes and improve the system.
Financial & Risk
Compliance & Legal Oversight
Act as an authority for ensuring all products and operational workflows adhere to state and federal regulations.
Product Management
Lead a multidisciplinary organization through Directors, Senior Directors, and other senior leaders responsible for Product Management, Product Operations, Market Strategy, and Product Commercialization.
Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, Sales, Business Unit Operations, and R&D to develop and launch enhancements to the solutions portfolio.
Align with Business Unit and R&D processes, including SAFe Agile, as well as Product Management teams for delivering capabilities.
Define success criteria, review product performance against expectations, and facilitate or influence changes to the product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimize product performance.
Go to Market
Own the definition of customer experience for end-to-end solutions.
Lead completion and upkeep of Ready to Market (R2M) and Ready to Sell (R2S) tools, content, and training.
Team Leadership
Collaborate with the Product leadership team to establish and continuously improve processes for Product Management.
Assist Business Unit leaders in defining core processes and staffing needs to support new solutions.
Coaching
Champion the discipline of product development and product management practices, ensuring teams have the essential tools, processes, and skill sets to build product and service roadmaps that align with Cotiviti’s strategic and operational plans.
Growth
Define and execute three-to-five-year growth strategies, including market expansion, partnership strategies, acquisition integration opportunities, and innovation investments.
Be accountable for developing solutions that support profitability, efficiency, and growth targets.
Lead others in the design and development of new products.
Ask effective questions to fully understand client needs and engage others to solve those challenges. Assist in developing pricing strategies to maximize overall returns.
Quality
Work closely with technology, operations, and senior leadership to ensure releases are of the highest quality and the team can demonstrate progress against quality goals through clear metrics.
Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that employs best-in-class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience required; Master of Business Administration degree preferred.
10 to 15+ years of progressive insurance and product experience, with a minimum of eight years in senior leadership roles overseeing matrixed teams.
10+ years of experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and oversight, managing Product, Operations, or Professional Services.
10+ years of experience preferred in the healthcare industry, with previous leadership experience in the appropriate domain, strong personnel management and presentation skills, and customer (internal/external) problem diagnostics and solution design capabilities.
Deep subject matter expertise in payer/provider interoperability and claims processing operations; direct experience managing claims operations or payer/provider interoperability for a health plan strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of standards, the regulatory environment, and compliance considerations for interoperability required. Ability to measure and articulate the business value of compliance preferred.
Advanced knowledge of claims management ecosystems and the ability to align R&D processes, such as SAFe Agile, with core operational needs.
Proactive leader with proven experience in strategic and tactical leadership and the ability to pursue and understand cutting-edge technologies.
The intellect and energy to excel in a complex and ever-changing environment, coupled with the poise and ability to act calmly in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
Proven experience in growth-oriented businesses in the healthcare information and analytics space, with strong competencies in developing and leading product development and strategy.
Excellent coach who is results-oriented and can build and motivate high-performance teams.

Base compensation ranges from $225,000 to $265,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration
