Overview

The Vice President, Events and Experience is responsible for leading Cotiviti’s enterprise-wide event strategy and experience function across internal, external, executive, customer, sales, and industry-facing engagements. This leader will define how Cotiviti shows up in the market and internally through high-impact experiences that strengthen brand perception, support commercial growth, reinforce company culture, elevate executive visibility, and showcase the company’s evolving technology and platform capabilities. 

This role sits at the intersection of communications, marketing, sales, product, technology, and executive engagement-ensuring every experience reflects a cohesive, premium, and differentiated market presence aligned to Cotiviti’s evolution into a healthcare infrastructure, intelligence, and technology platform. 

The Vice President, Events and Experience will oversee the strategy, planning, creative direction, production, and operational execution of all major corporate experiences including customer conferences, executive engagements, sales meetings, leadership summits, employee experiences, sponsorship activations, media events, product showcases, and strategic market-facing experiences. 

This role requires both a strategic operator and creative builder capable of transforming events from logistical exercises into integrated enterprise storytelling, customer engagement, and growth platforms. The ideal candidate understands how to create experiences that drive executive alignment, deepen customer relationships, support pipeline generation, amplify thought leadership, strengthen organizational culture, and reinforce market positioning. 

This leader will help modernize and scale Cotiviti’s experience ecosystem as the company evolves into a market-defining healthcare infrastructure, intelligence, and technology platform. 

Responsibilities

 

External Events, Industry Presence, and Market Activation 

  • Lead strategy and execution for all external conferences, sponsorship activations, hosted events, customer forums, executive engagements, and strategic industry experiences
  • Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Communications, Growth, Product, and Technology teams to ensure experiences support pipeline generation, executive engagement, platform storytelling, product visibility, and commercial objectives
  • Create integrated activation strategies that extend beyond physical experiences into:
    • Social
    • Video
    • Executive content
    • Media
    • Customer storytelling
    • Product demonstrations
    • Thought leadership amplification
  • Help translate Cotiviti’s evolving platform, AI, interoperability, and infrastructure capabilities into compelling customer and market-facing experiences
  • Ensure Cotiviti’s market presence reflects a premium, modern, technology-forward, and differentiated enterprise platform brand
  • Develop and scale executive engagement, customer community, advisory council, and peer networking programs that strengthen customer relationships, increase loyalty, and create meaningful opportunities for collaboration and insight sharing

  • Partner with Creative Services, Product, and Technology teams to develop innovative experience concepts that showcase enterprise capabilities and market differentiation

Enterprise Strategy, Operations, and Leadership

  • Develop and govern an enterprise-wide experience portfolio strategy that aligns:
    • Investments
    • Resources
    • Event priorities
      to business objectives, customer impact, growth initiatives, and market opportunities
  • Establish performance metrics that measure:
    • Customer engagement
    • Executive participation
    • Pipeline influence
    • Employee alignment
    • Brand impact
    • Overall return on experience investments
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that supports best-in-class practices and drives high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in annual performance review and/or goal setting (Required)

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or related field) preferred 
  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in events, experiential marketing, communications, or a related function 
  • Significant experience operating at a senior leadership level, including ownership of enterprise or multi-functional initiatives 
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic plans aligned to corporate objectives, with demonstrated impact on business outcomes 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Communications, and other business functions 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate corporate strategy into functional plans and execution with a medium-term (2–4 year) horizon 

Leadership and Business Capabilities 

  • Proven experience managing and developing leaders-of-leaders, typically at the Director or Senior Director level  
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, dynamic, and cross-functional environment, solving problems that impact the department and broader organization 
  • Demonstrated track record of making decisions with significant impact on functional performance and business results 
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement organizational growth strategies 
  • Experience influencing and partnering with executive stakeholders to drive alignment, manage change, and achieve enterprise outcomes 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B, healthcare, technology, or platform-based organizations 
  • Experience leading large-scale, enterprise-level programs or initiatives with measurable business impact 
  • Experience developing customer engagement programs such as executive forums, advisory boards, or strategic events

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.  
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance. 

 

Base compensation ranges from $185,000.00 to $260,000.00. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
