This is a key role within that is responsible for the development, strategy, and performance of our Coordination of Benefit product line and plays a critical role in driving the success by defining its vision, strategy, and execution plan, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring it to life. Successful Product Managers possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical acumen, communication skills, leadership abilities, customer focus, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills. They play a critical role in driving the success of a product and delivering value to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Chart the course of innovation by crafting and implementing a visionary product strategy that doesn't just meet company goals—it redefines them. Dive deep into market research, uncover hidden customer insights, and transform potential into breakthrough product opportunities.
  • Roadmap Planning: Creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and deliverables for the product. This roadmap serves as a guiding document for the product development team and other stakeholders.
  • Feature Prioritization: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Requirements Gathering: Working closely with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, ensuring that the product meets the needs of both internal and external users.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes defining project timelines, managing resources, and coordinating efforts across different teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Market Analysis: Assist in roadmap prioritization by gathering data on impact (cost avoidance, accuracy improvements, operational efficiency). Use data and analytics to support product decisions — pulling reports, analyzing outcomes, and presenting findings to the team.
  • Metrics Tracking: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the product, and regularly tracking and analyzing these metrics to evaluate the product's performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the product, both internally and externally, and communicating product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various teams and departments within the organization, such as engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration across all aspects of the product development and delivery process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the product and improve its performance, usability, and overall user experience. This may involve gathering feedback from users conducting usability testing, and iterating on the product based on insights gained.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a product manager driving the product development strategy and lifecycle (iterating on product roadmap and prioritizing backlog).
  • Active use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in previous work.
  • Experience with Healthcare IT, claims processing and data analytics domains.
  • Knowledge of COB, including primary and secondary payer rules, and related regulatory guidelines strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with claims adjudication, reimbursement methodologies and payer-provider dynamics.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with SQL or data tool exposure (Excel power use, Tableau, basic queries, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data, analyze market trends, and make informed decisions about product strategy and roadmap prioritization. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for Product Managers to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers. This includes the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Individuals who can inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to work towards a common goal. They should be able to influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making processes effectively.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and pain points is crucial for Product Managers to develop products that meet customer expectations and deliver value. Experience with user research, customer interviews, and usability testing is beneficial.
  • Must collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration across all aspects of the product development and delivery process.

  • Attention to Detail: must pay close attention to detail to ensure that all project requirements are met, deliverables are of high quality, and risks are adequately addressed.
  • Time Management: skilled at organizing their own time and the time of their team members to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Travel as assigned by Leadership (10 -15%).
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Moving (carrying, lifting, pushing, etc.) equipment weighing up to 10 lbs. for presentations set  up, etc.
  • Exposure to moderate noise intensity is expected.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $118,000 to $155,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
