The Sr. QA Engineer is an integral part of our engineering team, assisting in the development and testing of our innovative software products. The Sr. QA Engineer contributes at the design, coding, and implementation level to create and refine state of the art automation frameworks; applies sound computer science practices to automate core API and/or Web functionality across platforms; analyzes and tests B2B information systems, Oracle and SQL-based RDBMS, and multi-tier distributed applications utilizing J2EE, JMS, JMX, JavaBeans, EJB, Java, JavaScript, JSF, JSP, XML, and HTML; validates applications E2E with different Database Management Systems – SQL Server and Oracle; assumes ownership for end-to-end issues; conducts performance, reliability and Security testing; works with Agile scrum team to ensure the acceptance criteria is met; mentors and provides guidance to other QA team members; and assists development and support teams in resolving complex customer issues. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field. A foreign degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field is acceptable. 5 years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software testing/quality assurance in the healthcare or technology industry. Experience must include: 5 years of experience in QA processes such as conducting test plans, test cases, and reports; 5 years of experience in various software development life cycles such as waterfall or iterative; 5 years of experience implementing automation frameworks and processes; 3 years of experience implementing and administering effective QA metrics, such as defect profiles, performance, and entry/exit criteria; 3 years of experience working with each of the following: programming (Java, .NET, C++, or other programming language); database(s) (MSSQL, Oracle, UNIX, DB2, or other database); and Scripting (Perl, Groovy, or other scripting tool); 3 years of experience working in Value Based Care domain; 3 years of experience working with Healthcare Insurance data domain (claims, enrollments, quality measures etc); 3 years of experience working with EMR Systems and Interface Engines; 3 years of experience working with XML and XML processing methods/techniques. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years of experience in software testing/quality assurance in the healthcare or technology industry in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience. A foreign degree equivalent to a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is acceptable. Experience must include: 3 years of experience in QA processes such as conducting test plans, test cases, and reports; 3 years of experience in various software development life cycles such as waterfall or iterative; 3 years of experience implementing automation frameworks and processes; 2 years of experience implementing and administering effective QA metrics, such as defect profiles, performance, and entry/exit criteria; 2 years of experience working with each of the following: programming (Java, .NET, C++, or other programming language); database(s) (MSSQL, Oracle, UNIX, DB2, or other database); and Scripting (Perl, Groovy, or other scripting tool); 2 years of experience working in Value Based Care domain; 2 years of experience working with Healthcare Insurance data domain (claims, enrollments, quality measures etc); 2 years of experience working with EMR Systems and Interface Engines; 2 years of experience working with XML and XML processing methods/techniques. Base compensation ranges from at least 146,848. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
