Opening available for Senior Data Engineer, Software Development at Cotiviti, Inc. in South Jordan, UT:
Develop, build, monitor, and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines connected to on-premises and cloud databases for the Cotiviti product suite. Ensure the performance and stability of the ETL pipelines. Create and maintain ETL scripts, tools, queries, and applications used for healthcare data management, data validation, statistical report generation, and program validation. Design and orchestrate streaming pipelines using StreamSets, integrating real-time data from Kafka, Oracle, and MongoDB into internal systems, ensuring efficient ingestion and processing of healthcare claims and policy data. Create advanced SQL queries and fine tune performance queries in Oracle and MongoDB. Develop reusable pipeline fragments in StreamSets to handle claims and library rules ingestion from Oracle to Kafka topics and MongoDB collections, utilizing Groovy scripting and dynamic lookups to ensure data enrichment and seamless integration with CPD application. Orchestrate large-scale ETL pipelines using StreamSets for CSV and flat files, enabling automated ingestion and processing of claims for Cotiviti’s proprietary CCV (Clinical Chart Validation) application, reducing latency in delivering insights to insurance providers. Integrate Python-based AI models into CPD workflows to identify and deliver business-critical insights to healthcare insurers based on the predictive analysis, directly enhancing decision-making. Design advanced data exploration workflows using Python and AI frameworks (e.g., DataRobot), enabling insurers to analyze unstructured healthcare data and uncover actionable trends for policy optimization. Architect multi-stage pipelines for CCV application using StreamSets to transform JSON healthcare claims data into structured formats, ensuring adherence to healthcare data standards for analysis and reporting. Integrate AWS services with CPD for scalable and real-time data processing, enabling the ingestion of large datasets from Oracle and MongoDB into CPD pipelines for advanced analytics. Architect and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store healthcare data in Snowflake, using SQL and Python for transformations, partitioning, and query optimization, enabling business analysts to access advanced analytics. Automate error-handling mechanisms and real-time alerts within CPD pipelines using AWS Cloud Watch, Grafana improving the robustness and reliability of critical workflows. Collaborate with data scientists to implement AI-powered dashboards in CPD, integrating Python-based analytics to visualize claims patterns and predictive outcomes. Leverage DataRobot’s automated machine learning platform to build predictive models for healthcare insurers, identifying saving options by enabling proactive decision capture, seamlessly integrating model outputs into real-time operational use. Determine the impact of design changes on the assigned module and integration to other modules/products. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes. Identify, define and implement testing process and procedure improvements to
continuously enhance product and process quality. Estimate the work required to deliver quality tasks. Collaborate effectively with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders. Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement.
