Overview

The VP of Business Transformation role’s singular objective is to improve Prospective Payment’s business process improvement, technology support and organizational design by leading 3 components of our organization.

 

The VP of Business Transformation leads the Cotiviti Prepayment organization through business improvement of our existing operations (people, process and technology) by building and managing our Business Architecture team, Operating Solutions (Product and Process) and PMO through the change process. The role will drive consistency, simplicity and automation into our regular release lifecycle.  Our goal is to move from a monthly semi-waterfall release cycle to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

 

This role will be required to build and continuously improve a PMO and establish a small Business Architecture function to guide delivery of our End-to-End business needs

This role will collaborate closely with our R&D function to deliver application change under our existing SDLC as well as our Business Unit (operations) regarding process improvement and business requirements development.

 

Viable candidates for this role will have multiple years of experience leading transformational efforts at other business(es); whether inside or outside of healthcare.  It is imperative that experience includes significant software delivery and process change.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a Program Management Office leveraging existing PM’s and supplementing the team to improve PM acumen
    • Lead project management staff to accomplish business and project goals
    • Ensure consistent Program and Project Management methodology
    • Collaborate with Finance to ensure effective financial management of initiatives
    • Collaborate with R&D and business unit peers to ensure timely delivery
  • Establish and run a Business Architecture function
    • Understand business strategy developed by leadership
    • Be forward thinking in business process, technology and application design
    • Establish a comprehensive application infrastructure to enable strategy
    • Ensure integration and consistency across all applications
  • Guide existing Operating Solutions team improving overall product management capabilities
    • Ensure application design (feature and function) supports business process effectively
    • Ensure capability to perform mass customization, quickly and efficiently at the client interface
    • Ensure applications and process deliver on continuous integration and Continuous deployment (any client, any rule at any time)
  • Support operational change for new revenue generating product delivery
    • Participate in product strategy, design and launch processes to ensure operations effectively enables new revenue-generating products
    • Partner with Product Management to prioritize product roadmap and validate new product business cases before Product Steering Committee
    • Coordinate Business unit operational design ensuring consistency and value creation
    • Coordinate Prospective operating team to ensure operational readiness of new products (e.g., operational flows, SOPs, training etc.)
  • Help Prospective business unit achieve financial goals primarily focused on cost
  • Lead people and manage performance of team by securing and retaining talent, investing in our team and modeling teamwork
    • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that leads to high engagement and low turnover
    • Ensure department is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 15+ years experience in the healthcare technology field.
  • Expansive understanding of the healthcare landscape; experience leveraging Payment Integrity solutions to drive health plans to successfully manage members’ clinical and financial risks, make the most of limited internal resources, and stay compliant with industry requirements and regulations. Vendor and healthcare payer experience is preferable.
  • Experience building and leading teams of large teams; metrics-driven, operationally-minded commercial leader.
  • Senior Leader with the ability to be market-facing and participate in the business development process;
  • Demonstrated track record of building, leading, and retaining highly successful teams across functional areas, focusing on quality and execution; experience assessing and improving existing team, as well as attracting, developing, and retaining A-level talent.

Job Demands

  • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization.
  • After hours and/or weekend work required where necessary for major deliverables/deadlines (not consistent).
  • Travel is required and varies throughout the year.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
