Overview

The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping Cotiviti’s compensation programs through job evaluations, market benchmarking, and pay analyses. Partnering with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition, this role ensures compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives. The position also manages compensation reporting, ensures data accuracy, and contributes to the development of innovative total rewards programs that attract, engage, and retain top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using survey data to maintain competitive and equitable compensation structures.
  • Analyze job descriptions, evaluate roles, and assign appropriate job levels and salary ranges in alignment with the company’s job architecture, and provide FLSA exemption recommendations as needed.
  • Perform analyses of jobs, wages, salaries, and incentives to assess internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and market price new and existing roles across the organization.
  • Research and analyze market trends and compensation data to evaluate the competitiveness of company pay practices, recommending updates to programs, policies, and processes as appropriate.
  • Participate in salary surveys and market data submissions to support ongoing benchmarking efforts.
  • Contribute to compensation-related projects, audits, and compliance initiatives.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on compensation offers, promotions, and pay adjustments.
  • Support the annual merit and quarterly variable pay cycles, including system configuration, data reporting, processing, and analysis. Manage components of the year-end merit and incentive compensation process.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within HR systems across all pay-related processes.
  • Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and insights to support compensation decisions and leadership reviews.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Operations, Finance, and Talent Management teams on compensation-related initiatives.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. 
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, preferably with experience in compensation analysis or total rewards.
  • Strong understanding of job evaluation methodologies, market pricing, and salary structure design.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with compensation tools and HR systems (e.g. PayFactors, Radford, Mercer, HRsoft, UKG) preferred.
  • Experience working for global organizations and international pay markets and salary structures preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present insights clearly to HR and business leaders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to HR and business leaders.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or progress toward certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
