Overview

Cotiviti is seeking a mission-driven Data Scientist with a strong foundation in healthcare analytics and/or epidemiology to join our innovation team and help transform the future of healthcare delivery. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about applying advanced analytics and machine learning to real-world healthcare challenges—improving outcomes, reducing costs, and driving population health impact.

Rather than focusing on theoretical research, this position is designed for those who want to apply data science to real-world healthcare workflows and deploy models that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. You’ll work with large-scale structured and unstructured healthcare data—including claims, eligibility, provider demographics, and clinical records—to uncover insights that inform care quality, utilization, and health equity.

As a Data Scientist at Cotiviti, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, epidemiologists, coding experts, and healthcare administrators. Together, you’ll define measurable goals, build scalable models, and deliver actionable solutions that support value-based care and public health priorities.

  • Translate traditional healthcare datasets, administrative data and third-party datasets into insights that inform clinical and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and business owners to ensure models are aligned with regulatory, payer, and provider needs.
  • Contribute to the development of production-ready pipelines that integrate seamlessly into Cotiviti’s analytics platforms.

  • Work with production operations to deploy your model into production and support them in monitoring model performance.
  • Participate in other data science teams collaborating with your peers to support their projects
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to bring new insights and technologies to the team.
  • Provide End to End value-based solutions, including data pipeline, model creation and application for end user consumption.
