Overview

At Cotiviti, we are custodians of clinical data for our clients, which requires effective data connectivity and security. The Interoperability Solutions Architect function uses a standards-based methodology to create connections between Cotiviti and clinical data sources such as electronic medical records, health information exchanges, national networks, and vendor partners.


The Interoperability Solutions Architect will be responsible for data connectivity and ingestion. In this role, you will facilitate discussions with data partners regarding connectivity options and build connections with clinical data partners using FHIR and IHE-based protocols. This role will also be responsible for the configuration and data mapping functions within Cotiviti’s clinical data repository.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clinical data connectivity, ingestion, mapping, and transformation.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for HL7-based interface and application development.
  • Involvement in the entire cycle of interface development, including analysis, design/architecture,
    specification, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Facilitate discussions with healthcare data partners to (1) advise on connectivity options and protocols and (2) ensure the correct data elements are captured upon ingestion.
  • Serve as the technical expert for the interoperability team regarding interoperability protocols such as
    IHE profiles and FHIR resources.
  • Advise on approaches for identity management and consent modeling.
  • Work collaboratively with all project members to execute successful implementations.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Health Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience with healthcare interoperability protocols such as FHIR resources, IHE profiles,
    including, PIX/PDQ, XDS b, and XCA
  • Deep understanding of the following concepts: HL7 messaging/integration (ADT+ clinicial message types), CDA-based message formats (CCD, C-CDA), web services/xml/json, identity management, consent modeling, USCDI
  • Knowledge of health IT interoperability best practices and emerging trends.
  • Experience with InterSystems IRIS preferred.
  • Experience in payer industry preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines.

Base compensation ranges from $ 125,000/yr to $ 155,000/yr. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
