Overview

The Senior Project Manager is tasked with driving large, cross-discipline, company-wide projects with high executive visibility. These projects include post-merger integrations, international operations, systems implementations, and other projects as directed. As each project is different, the project manager must use a variety of tools, approaches, and formal methodologies to successfully complete the objectives. This position is strongly self-driven, with the project manager given an end goal and responsible for independently driving the project to success, while interacting with a large variety of independent teams and separate disciplines. Projects can involve simultaneous coordination across the Executive, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Legal, Compliance, and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Drive critical projects to successful completion with impact over $500k per project.
  • Coordinate across disparate organizations and disciplines with many different owners, tasks, and deliverables from different teams.
  • Provide regular Sr. leadership updates on project status.
  • Interact directly with the various levels of company leadership.
  • Adapt different project management approaches based on the specific project at hand.
  • Quickly summarize project status at an Sr. Leadership level while also maintaining detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate communication between different organizations such as Sales & Client Engagement, Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, R&D, and IT.
  • Work closely with different organizations such as Sales & Client Engagement, Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, R&D, and IT.
  • Work with the Finance team to track and report on financial impact of efforts.
  • Coordinate with other project managers on related projects.
  • Remain current in the latest Project Management developments, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan. Required
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. Required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience directing projects at large companies with international operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health, or Medical discipline required.
  • PMP or CAPM or equivalent certification a required.
  • Business education or training a plus.
  • Graduate degree is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating directly with senior leadership.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions-related projects a plus.
  • Familiarity with major financial reporting techniques and terminology.
  • Experience working remotely with internationally distributed teams.
  • Experience working directly with large operations teams.
  • Experience working directly with large software engineering teams.
  • Experience working in large software companies and with software development lifecycle management methodologies is a plus.
  • Travel is expected to be less than 5% but may be required for some efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong executive presence.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, and Outlook), project management tools, video conferencing, and other standard project tools.
  • Organized and able to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure on multiple simultaneous projects with tight timeframes.
  • Self-driven and able to drive efforts that are constantly changing and always working with new groups and processes.

Base compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
