This role is aligned to our Content and Enablement team within the Data Mining and Yield Management organization and will partner with various areas and levels of leadership within Cotiviti.

 

The Manager leads a team of Analysts, Technical Specialists and Senior Technical Specialists supporting Audit Operations. This leader will oversee the development and deployment of new audit technology, applications, and workflows, including the curation and optimization of content. This role will serve as a Business Partner to our operational Leaders, key project stakeholders and Research and Development (R&D) teams. Additionally, as a manager, fundamentals of new year budget and forecasting may be required in partnership with Senior Leadership, including Directors up through VPs.

Responsibilities

  • Analytics: Performs complex operation, financial, and statistical analysis, synthesizes and communicates results to stake holders. Analysis to include operations, statistics, financial Return on Investment (ROI), inventory, and aging. Produces results to identify indicators of inadequate performance and communicate findings to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Directly accountable for the successful deployment and integration of new technology, content, and training. Demonstrates ability to define user acceptance criteria and maintain above acceptable standards for production launch.
  • Content Management: Provides day-to-day supervision and direction to assigned C&E team. Ensures specialists and analysts are focused on right responsibilities and driving value for operations teams. Ensures appropriate staffing levels and to plan and organize workloads and assignments according to the needs of the Business Unit.
  • Project Management: Manages expectations of external stakeholders via clear communication with R&D and business unit leadership. Partners with other business units and data/analytics teams to identify new opportunities or dependencies to create efficiencies or drive value. Grasps internal operational cycles and processes as well as their impact upon delivery. Understands project scope, schedule, and resources. Anticipates disconnects and identifies solutions.
  • People Management: Consistent with excellent people management practices and company values. Provides managerial leadership and direct the selection, supervision, evaluation, and development of team members. Sets objectives, goals, and conducts performance reviews for direct reports and oversees the remaining evaluations indirect team members.
  • Performance Management: Works with Human Resources to recommend and implement performance management, progression, and compensation actions as warranted. Resolves employee concerns and other sensitive people issues consistent with Human Resources policies and guidelines.
  • Staff Training & Development: Follows established processes for training and career progression to enable revenue growth and specialist, analyst, and support staff development and engagement. Promotes & participates in knowledge sharing activities such as best practices, reporting and IT tools enhancement. Ensures that all levels of team members are properly trained on policies, procedures and best practices and that proper training, education and required certifications are maintained as required.
  • Follows guidelines to ensure compliance with HIPAA and PHI while respecting company access to specific technology and platforms, as well as ensuring team members follow the same compliance standards. 
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Preferred).
  • Five (5) years of Cotiviti direct audit experience or seven (7) years of related experience (healthcare billing, healthcare/medical claims, reimbursement, analytics) required.
  • At least one (1) year of management experience; people management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Experience with product management (Strongly Preferred).
  • Experience with project management software such as JIRA or Asana strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel Required.
  • Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple project tasks across business units and stakeholders.
  • Requires working knowledge of and applicable industry-based standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as an individual and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills required to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to mentor staff and enhance performance.
  • Some travel may be required at times for this role (10-15%).
  • Must have the ability to positively handle/manage stress, such as high work volume and frequent changes.
  • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Base compensation ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 annually. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
