Overview

The Data Solution Specialist role is aligned to our Implementation team and will partner will various divisions and levels of leadership within the whole organization.

They will be accountable to internal stakeholders for the successful implementation of both new and recurring projects. They will manage milestone tracking and task execution for assigned projects and internal process improvement initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of project outputs, such as documentation, data analysis, status reports, performance metrics, business requirements, backlog grooming, and other operational deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Documenting, organizing, and reporting issues and risks related to assigned tasks using appropriate project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Applying project management rigor and process excellence best practices to enhance project efficiency.
  • Challenging established processes and proposing creative solutions to drive cost and time savings.

Success in this role requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manages processes and systems related special initiative projects including but not limited to product configuration, project milestones maintenance, quality review and application testing, product benchmarking, risks and issues tracking, and other project documentation upkeep.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery expectations are met and proper approvals are obtained for release
  • Actively working on becoming a company-wide subject matter expert (SME) for all client data file layouts and various enterprise level projects
  • Investigates and responds to questions for assigned projects.
  • Host and facilitate discussions internally to (1) manage data intake, and (2) ensure all client data requirements are discussed and confirmed.
  • Partner with internal product development, operations, and client services groups to ensure that all parties are engaged and notified as to the implementation process and operational status. 
  • Perform data quality checks verifying that data provided is consistent with the requirements to build Healthcare Data Warehouse.
  • Write data transformation specifications to load source data into target data warehouse tables.
  • Analyze client interface requirements, identify gaps and handle all questions related to the client’s specific file layout
  • Identify data requirements to integrate new data sources and perform technical analytics to confirm data integration results meet or exceed defined expectations
  • Create and maintain all documentation needed for client interfaces and layouts
  • Evaluate data and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate technical / analytic information to business partners
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical claims data sets

 

 

Other Related Responsibilities  

  • Actively promote and participate in process improvement and adoption of new technologies
  • Conduct detailed claims analysis and ad-hoc reporting as prioritized by management
  • Produce work that reflects a focus on quality in consideration of the client's (internal and external) needs
  • Produce, validate and deliver regularly scheduled reports on a timely basis
  • Identify all data issues and coordinate a resolution with the respective client team
  • Set appropriate expectations with internal and external clients while cultivating an image of professionalism and excellence
  • Available for occasional off-hours support as required
  • Ability to occasionally travel as needed for team collaboration and special projects
  • Flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. Required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field or higher or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of Business Analyst experience (Preferred)
  • 2+ years working with client data and client interfaces
  • 2+ years working with relational databases and SQL
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Project management software experience, preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to research and make decisions based on day-to-day and complex problems required.
  • Process improvement skill set required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and technical skills are required.
  • Excellent organization skills, with ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional skills required.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to work well in a group setting. Must be able to perform daily functions with little supervision.
  • Strong technical skills, with proven track-record of working across multiple technology platforms.

  • Comfortable speaking in front of a group, with clients, and leading meetings

  • Ethical and Integrity: Upholding ethical standards and maintaining integrity in handling sensitive data and information is paramount for building trust and credibility in the insights provided

 

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
