- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on database engineering with Oracle 11g/12c/19c and Microsoft SQL Server 2016+.
- 5+ years delivering large-scale data solutions (healthcare experience a plus).
- Technical Expertise
- Mastery of PL/SQL and T-SQL (window functions, CTEs, dynamic SQL, bulk operations, parallel execution).
- Proven success in execution-plan analysis, advanced indexing/partitioning, and large-volume ETL (ODI, SSIS, or equivalent).
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts—feature engineering basics and model evaluation terminology—to collaborate effectively with data-science teams.
- Experience with C#/.NET for automation or micro-service wrappers; Python for scripting.
- Working knowledge of database security (row-level access, encryption, auditing) and backup/recovery best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum (SAFe a plus) and modern DevOps tooling (Git, CI/CD, containerization).

- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities; able to dissect complex data issues and craft pragmatic solutions.
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can translate technical findings into business-friendly language for executives and clients.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, influencing without authority, and driving cross-team initiatives to timely completion.
- Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams across time zones.
Preferred / “Nice-to-Have”
- Direct HEDIS or NCQA quality-measure experience.
- Web application frontend development using Angular.
- Oracle or Microsoft professional certification (OCP, DP-203, etc.).
- Experience migrating on-prem databases to cloud or hybrid architectures.
- Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, X12).
- Prior involvement in GenAI or LLM projects (e.g., code generation, documentation, chatbots).
- Hands-on experience packaging DB utilities or ETL jobs in Docker/Openshift.

Base compensation ranges from $96,000 to $134,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
