Strategic Vendor Solutions ("SVS") provides support services to the entire Cotiviti organization for the contracting of vendors who provide products and services, as well as any vendors with potential to join Cotiviti's mission through a joint venture, product development or some other form of strategic partnership.

SVS is tasked with driving best-in-class strategic sourcing, starting with initial vendor engagement, then managing the contracting process, and finally assisting in the evaluation of vendor performance and risk management activities post execution for Cotiviti’s most strategic vendors. The team’s key objectives are to manage contractual risks while

driving savings, consistency, standardization, continual improvement, and to assure that the contractual business approach is aligned across customer and vendor segments.

Key activities for this position include supporting the implementation and then continued oversight of Cotiviti’s Vendor Management functions of the SVS team and overall SVS operations, Business Unit Support as it relates to Vendor Management, and other projects as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sr. Director of Operations and Vendor Management, SVS in the implementation and then operation and oversight of the SVS Vendor Management program.
  • Assist in the development of a collaborative and inclusive Vendor Management strategy/program that leverages best practices and delivers against and aligns with Business Unit strategy/priorities and department objectives.
  • Establish and/or approve internal and external policies, standards and processes for vendor interaction, performance, and review as well as creating specific training related to the same.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, including, but not limited to interactions related to performance, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage the communication process with vendors, including what information should be communicated and how messages are delivered.
  • Ensure that effective oversight processes and communication channels are in place to maximize the delivery and implementation of any sourcing or procurement activities with strategic vendors.
  • Develop and mature key sourcing and procurement competencies, such as business relationship management, stakeholder collaboration, category and subcategory planning and analytics, project management, and communication.
  • Promote/communicate the importance of the department’s objectives to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive list of recommended vendors.
  • Manage the tools required to capture and analyze relevant data and information.
  • Monitor and support key development, evaluation and retirement of strategic vendor relationships, and update information and systems accordingly.
  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of e-procurement, contract management, and vendor management tools/solutions.
  • Segment and rationalize the vendor portfolio so that appropriate focus can be applied to the most strategically important vendor relationships/engagements.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for vendor issues and disputes and drive those issues to resolution.
  • Support Sr. Director of Operations and Vendor Management in their role as the main point of contact for SLT members and their admins for all issues, questions, and inquiries related to SVS Vendor Management.
  • Main point of contact for SVS contract personnel (negotiators) for issues related to Vendor Management.
  • As workload permits, assist Sr. Director of Operations and Vendor Management with special projects for both Operations and Vendor Management.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, or similar required.
  • Excellent process development skills including ability to manage multiple stakeholders’ needs and competing requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Requires the ability to manage varying volumes of activity in a timely manner.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across IT, Business Unit stakeholder groups and vendors.
  • Ability to think critically and identify process issues/bottlenecks.
  • Ability to operate/learn multiple software systems and follow established guidelines.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

 

Base compensation ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
