Overview

The intern will assist in working on new ideas submitted to the Innovation Lab with project management ideologies. Will work on identified tasks and backlog of innovation opportunities alongside other team members. Candidates should have an interest in project/program management, innovation, and process improvement to deliver business value. We are looking for skills in the Microsoft Office suite. Some practical experience with SmartSheet would be preferred. This will be a great learning opportunity to pick up project management skills while helping to solve and manage health business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Innovation Lab and/or Program Managers with project requirements, scope, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and project status and health.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility.
  • Assist or own reporting on the project status and health.
  • Assist or own identifying, managing, and resolving project risks and issues.
  • Prepare and assist in documentation as directed.
  • Proactively communicate with project stakeholders, teams, and all other relevant team members for each assigned project.
  • Learn and use SmartSheet, project management software.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Student working towards a degree in health sciences or business.
  • A strong interest in Project/Program Management as a career.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Motivated individual who is a quick learner, intuitive, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently solve normal challenges and problems in an office/business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, research, and multitasking, plus strong written and oral communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • No adverse environment conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is based remotely, and all interviews will be conducted virtually.

 

Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
