Overview

This is a technical role within Cotiviti’s IT Organization for a Jira and Confluence Architect. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing Jira and Confluence Data Center products to meet complex business requirements. This role requires strong architectural expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to optimize Atlassian products and secure Jira and Confluence environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect solutions using Jira and Confluence Data Center products to meet the needs of an enterprise level organization.
  • Develop scalable, high-availability configurations for Jira and Confluence Data Center deployments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence Data Center products in a distributed environment.
  • Perform upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting tasks for Jira and Confluence Data Center instances.
  • Integrate Jira and Confluence Data Center with other systems, tools, and plugins to streamline workflows and enhance functionality.
  • Customize Jira and Confluence Data Center to meet specific business needs through workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, and automation.
  • Optimize the performance of Jira and Confluence Data Center instances, including database tuning, caching strategies, custom field optimization, service project design, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for Jira and Confluence Data Center environments, including user access controls, data encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for Jira and Confluence Data Center configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to administrators and end-users on using Jira and Confluence Data Center effectively.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in either IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 7 years' experience in an IT related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and administering Jira and Confluence environments, with a focus on Data Center products.
  • Experience with large-scale Jira and Confluence deployments, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Jira and Confluence Data Center instances, including understanding of clustering, load balancing, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence APIs, plugins, and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) for customization and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira and Confluence Data Center architectures, features, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian products ecosystem, including Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira Service Management.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Azure cloud platform and products.
  • Experience configuring Jira Service Management (JSM) Assets module.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills for writing technical specifications, diagrams, and user guides.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

 

Base compensation ranges from $100,000 to $120,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Since this job will be based remotely, all interviews will be conducted virtually.
