Overview

The Senior Technical Specialist, Team Lead role is aligned to our Content and Enablement team within the Enterprise of Data Mining and Yield Management. This role will partner will various divisions and levels of leadership within the whole organization.


The Team Lead role will maintain responsibilities associated with leading or supervising a team within the assigned project management workspace. This role is considered a mentor, trainer, and developer of less tenured Technical Specialist team members. Additional responsibilities include but is not limited to time sheet review and approval and annual employee performance reviews.

 

Daily responsibilities include working with Product Owners and Technical Architects to define project scope, technical direction, and project milestones. You will have responsibility for working with other stakeholders to define business requirements, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirement consistent with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). You will also handle tracking of project deliverables, as well as issue, change and release management for implementation of desired functionality. You will need to have the ability to execute cross functional tasks in a matrix environment. The Senior Technical Specialist, TL will also perform quality assurance testing, acceptance criteria sign off and accompanying documentation. Additional responsibilities to include product demo, presentation, and training.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Participate in refinement of existing products, product development process and operational User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
  • Lead and manage cross functional, matrixed project teams in day-to-day activities necessary to successfully complete the project according to objectives and within deadlines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and resource for training and internal stakeholders
  • Learn and execute established processes. Suggest, refine, and document improvements to said established processes.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in all stages of project development including research, design, programming, testing and implementation.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and track action items across Business Units within the Enterprise.
  • Work closely with Technical Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to groom business requirements and acceptance criteria consistent with SAFe events.
  • Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
  • Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of information.
  • Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience leading project focused initiatives in a cross functional matrix.
  • At least one (1) year management experience and/or 1 year in a Senior Cotiviti role. (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of IT applications, data processing and medical claims processing.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data processing, data integration, and experience with SQL/Python/Spark (Preferred).
  • Prior experience with medical claims processing.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining project plans including task breakdown and work assignments.
  • Ability to speak and present with authority, knowledge, and confidence to stakeholders. Must be able to adjust well to new situations and changing priorities and be motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Autonomous and solution-oriented, with a strong customer service ethic.
  • Familiarity working with multiple software and data applications, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working on new development and services, healthcare data subject matter, Scaled Agile methodologies.

  • At least 1-year Cotiviti experience is recommended for individuals seeking their next opportunity internally

Base compensation ranges from $95,000 to $115,500. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
