Overview

The Product Analyst will provide the user perspective and requirements to engineering and other departments within Cotiviti. They are responsible for communicating product workflows that enable ease-of-use for end users and documenting specific features and functions to improve and expand Cotiviti's products and services. Reporting to the Product Director, this individual will have an understanding of the healthcare system and a passion for product development. S/he will further have the capability to lead within a matrixed environment – to take the “voice of the customer” and translate that into market-driven, detail-oriented requirements that yield best-in-class products. The successful candidate will demonstrate a unique blend of leadership, creativity, business judgment, industry knowledge, and execution-oriented thinking in the context of solution design and delivery. The Product Analyst will work closely with software development teams to ensure product solutions meet market requirements.

 

This role will support the Payment Product Solutions focusing on Payment and Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA).

Responsibilities

  • Product Attributes: Develop market and business requirements for acceptance into the baseline product, as well as maintaining detailed user personas and scenarios; maintain a groomed backlog and detailed BRDs. Provide solution guidance and support for other departments including but not limited to Engineering, Operations, Technical Writing, IT/Release, Training, as well as sales support when appropriate.
  • Prioritization: Assist in driving strategic direction of products through prioritization based on sound business cases and thorough understanding of market/customer needs and direct interaction/feedback with clients.
  • Voice of Customer: Attend all required meetings with engineering teams (e.g., sprint planning, grooming, sprint review, etc.) to ensure that market and customer needs are fully understood by all product development stakeholders and final user story outputs meet customer requirements.
  • Quality: Evaluate software and services relative to market requirements, user stories, and end-customer needs to ensure high quality, effective software and solutions.
  • Research: Conduct product research to further understand the solution profile and market requirements
  • Communications: Provide product input to internal and external communications, release notes, documentation, training, and implementation collateral.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, analytics, computer science, or related fields. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a software development environment; healthcare experience preferred. Agile experience preferred.
  • Experience with software and product development lifecycles.
  • Experience with analytics (e.g., utilization reports, quality measures, etc.).
  • Must be self-motivated and passionate about creating applications for diverse and challenging healthcare problems, including the ability to understand user persona needs across different client types and translate those needs into specific product requirements that will deliver customer value.
  • Ability to influence other departments to ensure deliverables are accomplished.
  • The intellect and energy to excel in a complex and ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience communicating with individuals of all backgrounds and areas of expertise.
  • Experience managing projects with an eye towards budget and timeline constraints, with results orientation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time

Base compensation ranges from $68K to $88K. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
